MiniYama is a little matcha kiosk on Chadstone's lower ground floor. We keep things simple: good matcha, made with care, every time.

Whether you're after a mid-shop pick-me-up or you're already a matcha devotee, there's something here for you.

  • Matcha is finely ground Japanese green tea. Unlike regular tea, you drink the whole leaf, which gives a richer flavour and smoother, longer-lasting energy.

  • Coffee gives you fast, intense energy that can lead to a crash. Matcha releases its caffeine slowly and steadily, so you feel calm, focused and balanced.

  • Hōjicha is roasted Japanese green tea. Roasting makes it warm, toasty and nutty, with notes of caramel and cocoa, and very low caffeine. It's a lovely choice for the afternoon or evening, or if you're sensitive to caffeine.

  • We'd recommend Umami Velvet. It's creamy and gently nutty, our most approachable matcha. If you'd like something sweeter, a matcha latte with white chocolate or strawberry is a great first step.

  • Our classic matcha lattes are gently prepared for a smooth, consistent drink. Our hand-whisked matcha is made fresh to order and focuses on the ritual, aroma and full expression of the matcha itself.

  • Yes. Our hand-whisked matcha comes unsweetened, lightly sweet, balanced or sweet, with your choice of sugar syrup or honey.

    Most other drinks can be made unsweetened, lightly sweet or sweet. Our cold foam drinks and refreshers are served as designed.

  • Full cream, light, oat, soy and almond. Just let us know when you order.

  • Yes! Our mobile matcha cart is available for weddings, baby showers, corporate events, birthdays and more across Melbourne. See our Cart Hire page for packages and to make an enquiry.

  • We'd love to hear from you! We only accept job applications through SEEK, so please check our current openings there. Applications sent through our website or email can't be considered.
